Professional Expertise
Dan Wall joined Wasatch Commercial Builders in October 2019. He started estimating in 1989, bringing over 30 years of estimating experience to Wasatch Commercial Builders.

He oversees all estimating and bidding for the company. He has an extensive knowledge of construction principles and construction management, with experience in the Commercial, Residential, and Multi-Family industries.

  • Estimating roles oversees:
    Prepare preliminary cost studies to determine the feasibility of intended projects, including the analysis of different site locations, building uses, size, internal components, general analysis of different construction systems and methods
  • Extensive relationships with the design professionals and key subcontractors, coordinate the construction documents to be used in generating the final construction drawings
  • Perform plan review and generate trade summaries, work with subcontractors and design professionals to resolve issues related to estimating.
  • Prepare final construction estimates of the project once fully designed, focusing on bid document interpretation and clarification during the formal estimate process
  • Receive, organize, and qualify subcontractor proposals to determine “low-qualified” subcontractors.

He is a Utah native and enjoys the outdoors with his family and five children.

He has taught as an Adjunct Professor for the Weber State Construction Management program since 2002. He has taught classes in estimating, scheduling, building codes, construction law, residential and commercial construction.
